On Thursday, January 10, 2013 at approximately 8:30 am, the North Vancouver RCMP responded to a hold up alarm at a bank in the 1700 block of Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver. The hooded lone robber approached a teller and demanded money. No weapon was produced but the suspect did simulate that he was in possession of one. The culprit allegedly robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect was last seen running out of the bank, eastbound across Lonsdale Avenue. The North Vancouver RCMP made immediate extensive patrols of the area. Police viewed security video footage at the bank, interviewed witnesses and in spite of the closely drawn hood, were able to positively identify a North Vancouver male as the alleged culprit responsible for the robbery.                      hands on prison bars
